Our mentors are the key to our successful programs.
They demonstrate three important attributes:
Patience – many of our students are struggling with their learning.
They need extra time and support to encourage them to have success.
Empathy – by listening carefully over a period of time you will
develop understanding of the challenges that the child is facing.
Life Experience– having overcome many of life’s challenges
already puts you in a good position to be a great role model for students.
Mentor Support A variety of mentor support activities are held throughout the year.
Two Mentor Orientation Seminars are held, one at the start of each semester.
